We teamed our sample with a charcuterie plate.

    What a fabulous card you created and a practice page, too. They both remind me of the changing leaves of autumn. What beautiful things you create.

    I enjoyed seeing the wine tasting. Two whites and two reds. I'm not a wine (or any alcohol) drinker, but I know my colors (grin). Tiny bites, but enough to keep your tummy happy and you from getting loopy. Thanks for sharing your incredible art and your wine tasting experience with us for T this Tuesday, dear Nan.     Both of your paintings are wonderful, but I especially love the fall flowers! We sat outside and enjoyed a glass of wine and cheese and crackers overlooking Seneca Lake last week. It was probably the last time we'll be doing that until next spring!

It was refreshing to read about Nina Totenberg and her friendship with Ruth Bader Ginsberg, as well as with Cokie Roberts.  I am sure this will end up on my favorites of 2023.   Art in Bloom Art in Bloom is being celebrated as a rite of Spring fundraising for art museums and libraries . In museums, floral designers create a piece to coordinate art on display. Local libraries and Chamber of Commerce combine their efforts with local art guilds and garden clubs to host a fun evening event. Libraries, art, flowers…what’s not to love? I decided this was an event I wanted to be involved in, both on the art and floral design aspect. First up: the display case, I asked Fiona for help on this. Here’s what we put together for the event. This is my first year participating, but it provided a great opportunity to put my art to good use. Happy Spring. Bloom where you’re planted.

T stands for Traditions

Nothing says traditions like a holiday...and in our house Birthdays have always been treated like holidays! We hold firmly to the belief that if there is a day you are ever going to celebrate, it's the day you were born. Luckily for Fi, her birthday is October 8, which coincides with Columbus day this year, extending the Birthday to Birthday weekend. We lined up all kinds of special treats, starting with a Half Marathon on Saturday, if you can call that a treat..followed up with  some other birthday specials, breakfast out at our favorite diner,  presents, bookstore coffee and browse around,  made to order breakfasts and dinners,  chocolate cake (yum!) and a wind down with one of our favorite hobbies on Monday... painting Halloween Vignette Years ago, I painted unfinished wood and sold it at craft fairs.
