 Can you ever have too many....tulips? Impossible,  a short season, capturing the magic and beauty of tulips!

I have enjoyed some great weather today, took a short walk in my neighborhood and strolled around my garden. Just finished listening to some great conversations about nature and psychology on http://thenaturesummit.com  My kind of day!

Home is where my garden is!

    I visited a large public garden today which was the perfect way to spend the day. Loving all your tulips. It's impossible to have too many flowers of any kind. Even dandelions. Beautiful tulip photos today Nan. Hugs-Erika

    Your garden is always gorgeous. Love the new door, too, but I miss the cone and floral arrangement you had on your front door. Your Procreate tulips look like a photograph!

    Lovely to see part of your garden---and another example of your beautiful art! No, not possible to have too many tulips. Some animal usually gets ours so we stopped planting them, but the nearby part has a stunning display of them.

T stands for Traditions

Nothing says traditions like a holiday...and in our house Birthdays have always been treated like holidays! We hold firmly to the belief that if there is a day you are ever going to celebrate, it's the day you were born. Luckily for Fi, her birthday is October 8, which coincides with Columbus day this year, extending the Birthday to Birthday weekend. We lined up all kinds of special treats, starting with a Half Marathon on Saturday, if you can call that a treat..followed up with  some other birthday specials, breakfast out at our favorite diner,  presents, bookstore coffee and browse around,  made to order breakfasts and dinners,  chocolate cake (yum!) and a wind down with one of our favorite hobbies on Monday... painting Halloween Vignette Years ago, I painted unfinished wood and sold it at craft fairs. Art in Bloom

  Art in Bloom Art in Bloom is being celebrated as a rite of Spring fundraising for art museums and libraries . In museums, floral designers create a piece to coordinate art on display. Local libraries and Chamber of Commerce combine their efforts with local art guilds and garden clubs to host a fun evening event. Libraries, art, flowers…what’s not to love? I decided this was an event I wanted to be involved in, both on the art and floral design aspect. First up: the display case, I asked Fiona for help on this. Here’s what we put together for the event. This is my first year participating, but it provided a great opportunity to put my art to good use. Happy Spring. Bloom where you’re planted.
