T stands for ...Trees

Well, it's autumn in New England, and that means trees...
Beautiful, glorious color...
Where does that road lead? But first did I mention the weather?
This is late October, right?
Going back old school, with one of my favorite groups and songs...you make my dreams come true...an outside temperature of 82 degrees! Wow, perfect  dream weather for the extended season of...
Apple picking!
Another favorite tradition, and we thought we might have been too late, but luckily no, still plenty on the trees for picking, apple cider donuts at the farm stand, and a pumpkin for future carving...
That's what I'm talking about!
In the meantime, lots of baking...Sunday, Apple Turnovers,  Apple Cinnamon Scones, and on Monday a Apple cobbler...

In no time, we may be tired of apples and apple treats, but enjoying them now...

Breakfast... and a reminder of some of the Best days ever, apple picking!
Once the baking was finished, time for some card making and coordinating envelope..

    Can't imagine than anyone would tire of apples with those kind of baked goods available! The trees driving across Massachusetts several weeks ago appeared to be at their peak, and were certainly more beautiful than anything we've seen in New York or on our drive to Chicago. Sadly, it rained both ways, and I never found a good spot for a photograph.

    what a delightful post full of joy! Love hall and Oates too- and that was a perfect song playing while enjoying a gorgeous sunny, warm day. I've been making apple baked goods too- had to take a break from pumpkin:):) Wonderful Halloween card and envie. Happy T day!

    Wonderful photos! I've been making applesauce, from my parents apple tree, along with apple crisp, apple bread, and even apple crisp pizza (with croissant crust) Love your cute shaker card too! maybe we should exchange mail art some time...happy T day!

    What a apple scrumptious post - I love it! How wonderful to go apple picking and I remember having apple cider donuts when we went to the Cornish Apple Festival in Maine, they were so so yummy 😁. Your bakes look so delish too, I would love some of those apple treats with my cuppa this T Day, thank you!     Sorry I was late visiting. I thought I had been by to see you and CJ, but now realize I missed BOTH of you before I had to rush out the door today.

    I adore the photos of the pumpkin you got at the farm stand. And talk about apples. You got more apples in more photos than I've seen since possibly forever! And I love the idea of apple cider donuts, too. And of course, I will gladly take a little pumpkin love.

    i envy you for all These apples! almost no apples here, the late frost this spring killed all the blossoms - the apple farmers are really having a hard year. i love all These apple treats, can get enough of apple cake & co.

  Art in Bloom Art in Bloom is being celebrated as a rite of Spring fundraising for art museums and libraries . In museums, floral designers create a piece to coordinate art on display. Local libraries and Chamber of Commerce combine their efforts with local art guilds and garden clubs to host a fun evening event. Libraries, art, flowers…what’s not to love? I decided this was an event I wanted to be involved in, both on the art and floral design aspect. First up: the display case, I asked Fiona for help on this. T stands for Traditions

Nothing says traditions like a holiday...and in our house Birthdays have always been treated like holidays! We hold firmly to the belief that if there is a day you are ever going to celebrate, it's the day you were born. Luckily for Fi, her birthday is October 8, which coincides with Columbus day this year, extending the Birthday to Birthday weekend. We lined up all kinds of special treats, starting with a Half Marathon on Saturday, if you can call that a treat..followed up with  some other birthday specials, breakfast out at our favorite diner,  presents, bookstore coffee and browse around,  made to order breakfasts and dinners,  chocolate cake (yum!) and a wind down with one of our favorite hobbies on Monday... painting Halloween Vignette Years ago, I painted unfinished wood and sold it at craft fairs.
