Mail on Monday...Sign sand delivered.

Last week was a hectic one for me, and I am hoping to get out from under it soon. Today's rain may help with completing some of the projects on tap, with the added benefit of keeping my lawn well watered. While last week was busy, we managed to include a few good things, including breakfast at the oldest tea house in America.

We made it a point to visit the Sand Sculpting Contest at Revere Beach. Absolutely amazing!

Just a sampling...

The professional sand sculptors travel from all over the world to compete in this weekend event. Their work is awe inspiring! Although extremely crowded, it was well worth it, especially considering today's constant rain.  I am so happy we had the opportunity to view this magnificent, temporary art.

  2. I've never been to the Wenham Tea House. Might have to make a visit up there. How cool you got to go to Revere Beach to see the sand sculptures. I only saw them on the news. The second one picture, the angel, was the first prize winner. I love the boy with his dragon, too, and your haiku is just perfectly crafted. Stay dry!

    1. It was amazing..so talented. I don't know if you can see the acanthus leaves on the dragon, Beautiful! The angels were incredible, so I am not surprised. The boy and dragon was my favorite, but there were so many good ones. Happy to have seen it before the rain came in.

  3. The sand sculptures are incredible, and your Haiku is a perfect accompaniment. I'm struggling to get a routine going since vacation. Balancing my commitments with the social events I also want to do is proving to be more difficult than usual. Hoping to find some creative time this week.

    1. Thank you Karen. They were incredible. It seems amazing to create something so amazing, and know that it is very temporary. I would love to talk to the artists to find out their feelings about that. Maybe I will find something on line. Good luck with the projects and carving out some creative time.
