A little Mix with some mail...

I love Halloween, for the decorations and making cards, although I must admit I really love, love the candy...if there is ever a time of the year that I love to indulge it's Halloween...but first here's the outgoing mail.
Mail me some Art
I have participated in the MMSA before...this time, the request was for hand made envelopes to exchange, a first for me! Thanks for the WeR Memory keepers punchboard and you tube, it was easy. Tools and videos can definitely increase likelihood of success...
The envelope please...here they are...
Since I have been playing around with mixed media, here's one for the Halloween theme over on Try it on Tuesday...
wishing you  Bright Halloween.
Mixed media is definitely out of my comfort zone, but fun...this piece has a gelato backround, colored pencils, stencils,  rubber stamping, heat embossing, some leaves I have watercolored and cut out, a Tim Holtz sizzix moon and cat, calligraphy...more is more and more practice required.

Here's my first try for Tag Tuesday. The theme is all creatures great and small...

Wishing you a boo-ti-ful day!

  1. Well, it might be out of your comfort zone, but the final product is a testament to your creativity---it's terrific! I'm not sure I'm going to get to Halloween cards this year. I have just a few days before we leave again, and a pretty busy schedule!

  2. The Halloween mail looks so cool. Someone is going to be lucky to get it! And what a fun tag. I like how you embossed the spider web. :) Hugs-Erika

  3. Your envelopes look fantabulous. I agree that proper tools make things so much easier. I wish I had a die cutter that cut things out, instead of me having to cut everything by hand.

Your mixed media may be out of your comfort zone, but I truly love it, especially because the colors are not traditionally those of Halloween. And your tag is absolutely fabulous, too. Again, not traditional colors, which makes it more interesting.

  7. Wow, you have been busy and I love your artwork! The envelopes are spook-tacular ..lol 😉. Your Halloween page is beautiful with the colourful gelato background, the way you have blended the colours is lovely and the mixture of stencils and stamps is perfect. There is so much lovely detail to look at and as always your calligraphy is amazing - I love how you added the cobwebs and those spiders dangling down! Then there is your tag, the embossed cobweb and the way you added the gelato colour is purr-fect with that adorable black cat ...lol 😁. Have a boo-ti-ful day too! J 😊
