Tonno, a really nice Italian restaurant nearby. Since Covid hit, I haven’t been out to eat very much and we have  only done outside dining. I am good with that, and although restaurants have begun to open for indoor dining, I am sticking to outside dining only.

    I am with you about outdoor dining only. I have only been out a bit myself. I dread that winter is going to be long since we can't start getting out and about the same way that usually salvages the cold season. But it is what it is. I will take a glass of sangria. A favorite of mine in warm weather. Love your photos today. And you asked about apple picking on a comment you left me. We went to a small orchard/farm stand in a kind of out of the way spot. There was only 1 other couple picking. Not sure how it would be down in MA or even southern NH. Maybe too crowded. Have a great T day and happy autumn. Hugs-Erika

    Wow, I've never heard of shrimp on pizza but I'm game :) Yes dining outside is a better way to go & your smiles and Sangria are wonderful too ~ Enjoy

    I haven't had shrimp pizza either, but I must say it looks very delicious, and a sensible portion too. Sometimes the pizzas are so huge, you have to share.
    Your autumn sangria looks tasty too.
    Yes, we do outdoor too and autumn has come so we might not be able to do that for much longer...

    We haven't been out. Hubby calls and orders, then goes and picks up our food. That is our gong out to eat. Looks fun. Happy T Day! (very late)

    Being out to eat with friends was the biggest feature of my social life before the pandemic, and I really miss it. I've been out a couple of times, but like you, limit myself to outdoor venues. Glad you were able to enjoy a lovely day!

Nothing says traditions like a holiday...and in our house Birthdays have always been treated like holidays! We hold firmly to the belief that if there is a day you are ever going to celebrate, it's the day you were born. Luckily for Fi, her birthday is October 8, which coincides with Columbus day this year, extending the Birthday to Birthday weekend. We lined up all kinds of special treats, starting with a Half Marathon on Saturday, if you can call that a treat..followed up with  some other birthday specials, breakfast out at our favorite diner,  presents, bookstore coffee and browse around,  made to order breakfasts and dinners,  chocolate cake (yum!) and a wind down with one of our favorite hobbies on Monday... painting Halloween Vignette Years ago, I painted unfinished wood and sold it at craft fairs.   Art in Bloom Art in Bloom is being celebrated as a rite of Spring fundraising for art museums and libraries . In museums, floral designers create a piece to coordinate art on display. Local libraries and Chamber of Commerce combine their efforts with local art guilds and garden clubs to host a fun evening event. Libraries, art, flowers…what’s not to love? I decided this was an event I wanted to be involved in, both on the art and floral design aspect. First up: the display case, I asked Fiona for help on this.
