Since Onz and D were home for a cooking holiday, I was placed on temporary hiatus from cooking, which I extended to all household duties.
The cook books came out, lots of perusals ensued, and fabulous meals and desserts were created.

ReplyDeleteawe, what a lovely post! I LOVE cookbooks-and read them as i would any other books too:) I only have the barefoot in Paris one as I have LOADS of French cookbooks! That cake looks divine. Cheers and a happy T day!
ReplyDeleteI read cookbooks just like you and Linda. I will say that meal looks delicious. Great your daughter came home and even greater she came home and made you delicious food. :) Your house looks all pretty and the flowers are gorgeous. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteSo happy for you. Especially the no cooking and cleaning part. Glad you had such a Happy Mother's Day fortnight. The food looks fabulous and your mug is sweet.
ReplyDeleteMy sincere apologies. After I got home and sat down at my computer, I promptly fell asleep in the chair. Just now woke up.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to get that Ree Drummond cookbook. She doesn't spare the butter or the fat (grin). I have a huge collection of cookbooks, too. At one time, I collected them. Now I just sit and stare, but never use them to create food. I often just go to the internet, where it's so quick and easy to find whatever I'm looking for. Your meal, on the other hand, looks really gorgeous. Beautiful photos and great look creativity.
I really LOVE your home. I wish I had your garden and green space. I've always said that back door friends are the best.
That is a fabulous mug. I would use it a lot, just for the sentiment.
Thanks for sharing your Mother's Day weekend, your cookbooks, your fabulous meal, and your sentimental mug with us for T this Tuesday.
