T stands for time to celebrate

Image
My birthday.... Let’s celebrate And decorate the mantle And.. Ready for a few close ups Heart felt messages from my girls And beautiful inspiration from Karen Cards from life long friends, Susan and Ann and Art work from Jean Lots of love here... ...and good wishes from Cathy, RZ and Jean Fi decorated the chandelier  and made me a ferrero rocher cheesecake  which we enjoyed with a glass of Prosecco  I love to celebrate birthdays including my own. As my mom told me once, age is a privilege denied to many. So true, and on my birthday I always take the time to remember those gone too soon, especially my mom. People often say that I remind them so much of her which I take as the highest compliment. Every day, I try to emulate her strength of spirit, kindness and gratitude . She will always be my inspiration, a source of the happiest memories and a love that is always with me. Every year on my birthday, I make my resolutions to try harder and do better in small ways and eventually maybe ev

T stands for Tower Hill

Procreate practice  Spring with a flourish Fiona took a vacation day so we could take a drive out to Tower Hill and saunter around the gardens. They are doing a lot of construction and expansion, so some areas were cordoned off, but there was still much to see. It’s further west and the tulips were in full bloom. Perfect timing! I love color, and it was in abundance. Inside another favorite, a display of botanical art graced the corridor. Fiona treated me to lunch and we were able to eat outside in the garden. My other fun treat of the week was to celebrate Mother’s Day at Chez Philippe. Onz and Deets invited us for brunch to celebrate Mother’s Day. Everything wad delicious and the conversation was flowing. Lovely brunch of frittata, blueberry muffins, Hash browns, fruit salad, coffee and orange juice Oh my happy heart!

T stands for too many?

Can you ever have too many....tulips? Impossible,  a short season, capturing the magic and beauty of tulips! In the garden On our walk Pops of color Procreate practice I have enjoyed some great weather today, took a short walk in my neighborhood and strolled around my garden. Just finished listening to some great conversations about nature and psychology on http://thenaturesummit.com  My kind of day! Home is where my garden is!

T stands for tulips

Tulips and springtime Onz and I planted over 300 spring bulbs last year. When she and Deets bought their house, one of the many areas that needed a total overhaul was the garden. For flower lovers like us, this was a fun challenge. Even more fun is seeing how a neglected garden was transformed. Room with a view   I increased my tulips by adding a new stretch of tulips in front of a row of hedge for a pop of color. From a distance Up close and personal Lots of color framed by green Out front, I added a few peony tulips. The blooms are a little more sturdy when the wind blows. Pretty in pink. Because the little things are really the big things. Cheers to getting back to doing the things I love With the people I love 💕
