T stands for temperatures

 Temperatures have been all over, with an early blast of snow right before Halloween.

   

Surprising weather followed by even more unpredictable temperatures,a return to sun and 70 degrees. Perfect for more social distancing at the beach, and a 2nd trip for more apple picking. An email telling us that apple picking would be half price because of the cold damage to the apples affecting shelf life was all the encouragement we needed. Somehow, we had already managed to bake our way through 18 pounds of apples!

The weather was perfect, just like the company, and it was easy to social distance as we were the first two there and had the orchard to ourselves.
Fun day, sun day.
An early start gave us time to visit Walden Pond for a short walk.
Fall colors and summer temperatures 
A perfect morning,  then a trip to Cranes 
A perfect sunset...
What better way to end the day, a little watercolor and pointed pen practice

Focusing on the good,
With hope for the future.

    The Jack o'Lantern looks angry just the way I was when it snowed. 🎃Apple cinnamon scones and a cuppa sound so good. Walden Pond looks pretty.     Loving the snowy Halloween and autumnal photos - stunning! An apple cinnamon scone would be perfect with a cuppa right now too ...lol 😀. So pleased that you have been baking up a storm with all those apples and had fun picking more, great deal on the price.     Wow, snow and then sunny weather! Weird. The weather's gone bonkers. But you had a lovely day at least.

    Mother Nature is off her meds (grin), but I've experienced something quite similar, too. So good you were able to pick apples for half price and make even MORE scones (I hope). Your photos of the pond and sunset are wonderful. Such beauty in your part of the world right now. I am always amazed by your calligraphy skills. You and CJ make such lovely calligraphy, but this gratitude entry is unbelievable.

    Cranes? Cranes Beach? I have wanted to visit Walden Pond and one day I am going to do it. It isn't that far. It looks like you are enjoying this gorgeous weather. I can't say I blame you.     Your pen practice is so beautiful! Make sure you turn that into something more permanent! We managed to miss the snow, but have certainly enjoyed all the warm weather. What a gift--even if we don't have the beach. One of my fondest memories is an afternoon at Walden Pond when my daughter was a freshman at BU. Her brother came with us for Parents Weekend. Sarah wanted to get out of the city so we headed to Walden Pond--a beautiful day, and one of my favorite photos of my two kids!

    Great assortment of photos. There was snow just north of me, the day before Halloween, but then the sun melted most of it the next day. And then a few days later, we had 70 F days, too. Happy T-Day!

    That's a fun snow-on-the-jack-'o-lantern photo. Weather has been odd here, too, but nothing like the range you've had. The apple cinnamon scone looks delicious. That outing looks like such a nice day, getting out and about with folks and doing it safely. You Rule! Happy T Day!

  Art in Bloom Art in Bloom is being celebrated as a rite of Spring fundraising for art museums and libraries . In museums, floral designers create a piece to coordinate art on display. Local libraries and Chamber of Commerce combine their efforts with local art guilds and garden clubs to host a fun evening event. Libraries, art, flowers…what’s not to love? I decided this was an event I wanted to be involved in, both on the art and floral design aspect. First up: the display case, I asked Fiona for help on this. T stands for time together...in Ireland.  Heading to Ireland for a mini break provides a welcome respite from hustle and bustle. It's a chance to enjoy life at a slower pace, and get outside and enjoy nature. There is no place that we find as peaceful, and walking the country roads never gets old. Fortunately the weather cooperated, and the days are long...daylight until almost 10 o'clock at night, which leaves plenty of time for walking everyday. Our range was between 6 and 13 miles per day, making the most of our time outside. Not many people on our route, but not short of company. The dairy farm and creamery is just down the road, so you know our milk is fresh!  Sometimes, after a long walk, a cuppa and a biscuit aren't enough.
