Spring is here, and it's in full bloom at the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival. I love spring, when the flowers are starting to emerge from the ground. My dad was a landscaper, so I grew up around gardens and flowers. We would joke that we could smell the pansies coming in on the trucks and we would be the first gardeners there. I was excited with the advent of spring, but even more so when my daughters surprised me with a mother's day/birthday gift to Disney World. What an amazing gift!

Panorama at Epcot |
Epcot was brimming with color, topiaries, flowers, and charming vistas...beauty in every direction.

A butterfly garden...
And of course there was Tea...

Time for a Cuppa |
You would think this was as good as it gets. But no, the piece de resistance had to be afternoon tea at Garden View Tea Room at the Grand Floridian.
|
No wonder they say Grand! |
I have been lucky enough to enjoy tea parties with the girls and their dolls growing up, an afternoon tea with CJ at the BPL, tea at Paul's with Nish, and mini teas and lovely lattes with Onz and Fi in London. I delight in the elegance and presentation, not to mention the wonderful food and company!

Absolutely good enough to eat! |
The piano music was playing in the lobby as we enjoyed our tea. People were milling about admiring the Easter eggs wholly constructed of chocolate, and glimpsing the wedding party heading up the grand staircase. The ambience was nothing short of spectacular.

Cinderella's carriage |
Although we didn't ride in Cinderella's carriage, we did take the boat back to The Magic Kingdom.

The plane has landed and we are back home, but I don't think my feet have touched the ground yet. It was a wonderful present and I am grateful to Onz and Fi for giving this to me, but especially Onz, since she didn't get to share in the fun of it with us. To me that is especially generous...but the next time, she is in on the Garden Show, too wonderful to miss! If you're interested, check back on Thursday for the pictures of the amazing topiaries. And don't forget to check out Bluebeard and Elizabeth's blog to see the rest of T stands for Tuesday.
What a wonderful present to get such a lovely da out. Those flowers are wonderful. Glad you had a good time. Happy T Day, hugs, Valerie

Also, may I add your blog to my left sidebar? I'll only do it if you give me permission.
Yes, definitely add me. I am enjoying following your blog. I love your little canisters. I have something similar that I use everyday. You have some great recycle/upcycle ideas. New to blogging so still figuring my way around. I was having trouble commenting on your page. I need to arrange a mini tutorial with CJ. Happy T Day :)
