That is a wonderful card from Jo. The sentiment is really true. Looks like life is good, especially since you have crocuses in bloom. March really hasn't been that bad of a month, at least these last few weeks. I'm going to go check out that book and see more of what's its about. I hope you had a great T day Nan. Hugs-Erika
Those bunnies are so cute. Crocuses are really beautiful! I just love that they symbolize spring with that splash of bright purple. Happy Tea Day, Kate
A beautiful card and a wonderful sentiment. We think it's rabbits that eat our crocus. But right before we left for Sarah's Tracy discovered all our daffodils in the back were blooming. Early spring for us! We took half to Matt, and brought the rest with us.
What a sweet card from Jo. She is such an adorable person.
I love your envelopes. You know how to turn a plain envelope into its own gift. Speaking of which, you have a true gift making this art.
I enjoyed seeing you in your family room watching soccer, enjoying a biscuit (cookie?), and drinking tea. Thanks for sharing these beauties with us for T this week, Nan. I realize I'm late visiting.
So glad that you liked the card, and the sentiment is so true 😉. I think spring must be finally here, those crocus look so beautiful! We have bluebells just starting to bloom here after the sunny days we've had the past week! Happy belated T Day wishes! Hugs, Jo x
Nothing says traditions like a holiday...and in our house Birthdays have always been treated like holidays! We hold firmly to the belief that if there is a day you are ever going to celebrate, it's the day you were born. Luckily for Fi, her birthday is October 8, which coincides with Columbus day this year, extending the Birthday to Birthday weekend. We lined up all kinds of special treats, starting with a Half Marathon on Saturday, if you can call that a treat..followed up with some other birthday specials, breakfast out at our favorite diner, presents, bookstore coffee and browse around, made to order breakfasts and dinners, chocolate cake (yum!) and a wind down with one of our favorite hobbies on Monday... painting Halloween Vignette Years ago, I painted unfinished wood and sold it at craft fairs. Fi loved to go with me to purchase supplies and attend craft shows looking for ideas. Although it has been a long time since I have participated in a craf...
and nothing transforms like a butterfly...the metamorphosis is symbolic to so many cultures and religions. The butterfly offers an explanation of the life cycle, and in Christian faiths a symbol of resurrection. In Asian culture, butterflies symbolize long life and love. Native Americans see the butterfly as a symbol of color, change and joy. For them, wishes whispered to the butterfly rise to the heavens. To many people throughout the world, the butterfly symbolizes hope and change. Is it any wonder that I am always on the lookout for them? On our day trip to Ogunquit, I saw some beautiful gardens, lots of color, the ocean, and butterflies... spotted some butterflies... These butterflies were fluttering around in the beautiful gardens outside the Ogunquit Museum of American art. The sculpture garden, flowers and view were amazing. Art and Nature combined.. From here we walked the Marginal Way at Ogunquit, another of my favorite spots... Spectacula...
Every click of the television remote or blast from the radio brings more aggressive news of hateful words and actions. The stress of the situation is exacerbated by the sad fact that I have no impact over the current environment. All of the lessons of history seem to be lost. I can only hope that at some point peace, respect and common sense prevail. Amid all of this discord and hostility, Nish and I went in search of some tranquility. There is no place it is easier to find than in nature, so we headed to Heritage Museum and Gardens in Sandwich. Majestic trees Beautiful Vista And then we moved through the labyrinth. Moving meditation Labyrinth move within, let go circle, center, continue end, let go, begin The current exhibit is Painted Landscapes: Contemporary Views. Some of my favorites: So much inspiration taken from the beauty of nature. It was back outside to one of my favorite water featur...
