Happy Tuesday Bleubeard and Elizabeth 

I started my day off with a cup of coffee and homemade superhero muffins from Shalane Flanagan’s cookbook, Run Fast Eat Slow. Although we won’t ever run as fast as Shalane, we are continually inspired by her accomplishments, attitude and recipes. A nice start to my day! And for the perfect end to the day…

Sunset at the Lake

Eoghan and I took a run to the lake to see this magical sunset. We are so lucky to live nearby and enjoy sunsets like this. Look up, experience wonder!

    Being happy with the little things makes life better; I am sure you agree. What a gorgeous sunset. And what is in a superhero muffin? It sure looks delicious.     Almost all our hydrangeas are bright pink this year. We don't treat them and the colors vary year to year. Yours are gorgeous as is that fantastic sunset! Your mixed media art is also lovely--no surprise there!

    Love your blue hydrangeas. I really want a hydrangea bush. They are so beautiful and can be great in mixed media art, too. I also am in awe of your mixed media beauty. It is stunning.

    I love the positive attitude and message on that mug. It's always good to have positive things in your life each day.

    One thing I know for sure. If I lived that close to that lake and sunset, every day would be magic.

    Wow, that sunset is beautiful and something to be grateful for sure! Love your idea of being grateful for 3 things each day - I need to try that and those muffins! Your flowers are beautiful and so is that very cool Mixed Media creation - great butterfly and scene! Happy T-day a bit late!!!!

I'm with you, I don't do it daily but I do review things that I'm grateful for each week. Your muffin and cuppa look wonderful and how lovely to see the sunsets, we are lucky enough to see the sunsets too across the

Nothing says traditions like a holiday...and in our house Birthdays have always been treated like holidays! We hold firmly to the belief that if there is a day you are ever going to celebrate, it's the day you were born. Luckily for Fi, her birthday is October 8, which coincides with Columbus day this year, extending the Birthday to Birthday weekend. and nothing transforms like a butterfly...the metamorphosis is symbolic to so many cultures and religions. The butterfly offers an explanation of the life cycle, and in Christian faiths a symbol of resurrection. In Asian culture, butterflies symbolize long life and love. Native Americans see the butterfly as a symbol of color, change and joy. For them, wishes whispered to the butterfly rise to the heavens. To many people throughout the world, the butterfly symbolizes hope and change. Is it any wonder that I am always on the lookout for them? On our day trip to Ogunquit, I saw some beautiful gardens, lots of color, the ocean, and butterflies... spotted some butterflies... These butterflies were fluttering around in the beautiful gardens outside the Ogunquit Museum of American art. The sculpture garden, flowers and view were amazing. Art and Nature combined.. From here we walked the Marginal Way at Ogunquit, another of my favorite spots... Spectacula...

Every click of the television remote or blast from the radio brings more aggressive news of hateful words and actions.  The stress of the situation is exacerbated by the sad fact that I have no impact over the current environment.  All of the lessons of history seem to be lost.   I can only hope that at some point peace, respect and common sense prevail.  Amid all of this discord and hostility, Nish and I went in search of some tranquility. There is no place it is easier  to find than in nature, so we headed to Heritage Museum and Gardens in Sandwich. Majestic trees Beautiful Vista And then we moved through the labyrinth.
