T stands for trying the abstract

I made an apple pie with some of our apple picking supply. It’s my mom’s recipe not the one on her pie plate, but suffice it to say it was lovely with a cup of Irish tea.

The pie was polished off before I knew it.

I am way up on my reading for 2021 and there have been so many fun, interesting reads. Here’s a favorite creative book from the list. I read it through and am starting on the creative challenges now.
Lots of Inspiration here…
And inspiration in the mail too!

Fun mail from Leslie
And a shimmery envelope

Cathy’s great calligraphy and card
I think this is great advice. Sometimes you just have to just put the pen in the ink, make a mark and take it from there.

Last Month’s outgoing mail…a challenge to incorporate a more modern vibe with the Emilio Sanchez stamps.

Driven to….Abstraction

  2. Dare to Create is sitting on my desk. I need to be very intentional about getting to the challenges! Lots of fun cards. No apple pie here, but my son brought us a bag of fresh apple cider donuts which were delicious!

  3. I had to look up the Dare to Create book you were reading. It sounds interesting. But what really impressed me were all those cards you created from those postage stamps as inspiration. Not like you at all, and that's why I so LOVED what you created. Very outside-the-box.

It's too bad all that apple pie is now gone, but that tea looks good, even if it is decaf. Thanks for sharing your Dare to Create book, those wonderful cards based on the postage stamps, and your apple pie and decaf tea with us for T this Tuesday, dear Nan!!

  5. Fab makes. Love the vibe you achieved and your envelopes are wonderful!!! The book looks very interesting and I have never heard of that Barry tea - fun to see different teas. I agree on the pen in the ink comment - the step of getting started is often all we need. Happy T-day!!!!

  10. The Barry’s tea always makes smile as our DIL buys it in SF and it’s her dads name and since Brexit the English shop here has been selling it now , ha,ha
