Three on Thursday

On Tuesday, we took a walk over the hill to Griswold Pond...very small, nestled in a neighborhood, a little bit of nature tucked in the city..

enjoyable little spot for this swan.
I love how the clouds reflected on the pond on this one.  We waited patiently for the swan to move a little closer.
and I did have to zoom..
The branch hangs precariously across a tranquil scene. Playing around with some of the filters, I altered the picture to this.
an impressionist view...
The colors on the back ground on this remind me of Monet's waterlilies
What do you think?

  1. Thanks for joining into Take Three Thursday. I agree your last photo & Monet's waterlilies have a similarity about them. Swans are so beautiful.

  5. What a lovely place! I love the opportunity to photograph swans. They are so elegant. I passed one this morning on the bay, but it was not in a spot where I could have pulled over for a photograph.

  6. What a tranquil scene in your neighborhood. The pond and reflection of the swan are fabulous. But those water lilies would definitely make Monet proud!

  7. It looks like a beautiful way to spend a bit of your day Nan. The swan is gorgeous. Yup, I agree, the colors are like the Monet's painting. I am missing the sun lately as when it is out I am in a classroom. happy rest of your weekend. Hugs-Erika
