 Of comfort and joy at the beach...

Mild temperatures meant a beach day
with some big waves
Foggy and ethereal 
Fueling up with coffee and the cozy issue
of Bella Grace

Joy..painting 

...inking

And getting some mail ready
To spread the joy
And say happy holidays
With flowers!

    For once, Nan, I'm not terribly late visiting. It is still Tuesday in both our worlds right now. Your day at the beach looks rather chilly to me, but I'm sitting in a snow filled area right now. I have to admit, the coffee looks good, and Starbucks Christmas friendly, too.

    You have created some beautiful calligraphy and drawings, Nan. They are really fabulous. I especially LOVE the tree. And the flowers are so very festive, too. I absolutely love, love, love them.

    The beach looks beautiful this time of year, very wintry with the fog and ethereal is the right word to describe it too - perfect 😁. Glad you enjoyed your coffee, company and reading while you were there too. Your artwork is full of festive cheer and wow, those envelopes with the baubles and festive foliage are stunning.     Those are big waves. I went last Thursday and they weren't so big so some energy must have come in with the rain last weekend. Your art work is gorgeous too. You have great hand control! Hope it was a super T day Nan. Hugs-Erika

    Must say the beach looks cold! I'm guessing you've been hit with the big snow. We were just on the edge so have white landscape but nothing that deters travel. LOVE your painting and your beautiful tree--so talented!

Nothing says traditions like a holiday...and in our house Birthdays have always been treated like holidays! We hold firmly to the belief that if there is a day you are ever going to celebrate, it's the day you were born. Luckily for Fi, her birthday is October 8, which coincides with Columbus day this year, extending the Birthday to Birthday weekend. T stands for Transformation..

and nothing transforms like a butterfly...the metamorphosis is symbolic to so many cultures and religions. The butterfly offers an explanation of the life cycle, and in Christian faiths a symbol of resurrection. In Asian culture, butterflies symbolize long life and love. Native Americans see the butterfly as a symbol of color, change and joy. For them, wishes whispered to the butterfly rise to the heavens. To many people throughout the world, the butterfly symbolizes hope and change. Is it any wonder that I am always on the lookout for them? On our day trip to Ogunquit, I saw some beautiful gardens, lots of color, the ocean, and butterflies... spotted some butterflies... These butterflies were fluttering around in the beautiful gardens outside the Ogunquit Museum of American art. The sculpture garden, flowers and view were amazing. Art and Nature combined.. From here we walked the Marginal Way at Ogunquit, another of my favorite spots... Spectacula...

T stands for Tranquility amid the turbulence...

Every click of the television remote or blast from the radio brings more aggressive news of hateful words and actions.  The stress of the situation is exacerbated by the sad fact that I have no impact over the current environment.  All of the lessons of history seem to be lost.   I can only hope that at some point peace, respect and common sense prevail.  Amid all of this discord and hostility, Nish and I went in search of some tranquility. There is no place it is easier  to find than in nature, so we headed to Heritage Museum and Gardens in Sandwich. Majestic trees Beautiful Vista And then we moved through the labyrinth.
