T stands for tree

 This year our traditions are going to be a little different. We will do as much as we can, until the day we can celebrate to our hearts content. 
We will bask in the comforts of home.

We will enjoy our Christmas tree, with the many ornaments we have made and collected over the years.

A little help goes a long way.
I love our tree!
We picked up a miniature rosemary tree.
We will plant it outside in the spring.
All that hard work deserves some homemade cookies and a cuppa!

    Your tree is beautiful Nan. It is always fun to see how other people decorate. Like you, my tree is a mix of ornaments collected over the years. It will be a different holiday this year, but hopefully yours will still be wonderful. And hope it was a nice T day too. Hugs-Erika

    Love the sign, that saying is perfect! I may have to use it on a journal page ...lol 😀. Your tree looks amazing with the pretty ornaments and it was so much fun decorating it with you and your family! Of course those cookies look so delicious too, I'd happily join you for a cuppa and maybe try one or two! Such beautiful scriptmas wishes, such an elegant design. Thanks so much for the Christmas card and wishes, it was sitting on the doormat when we got home today, we went to pick up some food orders for my mum and dad and sister early this morning.     Love your santa riding a reindeer! We are just two for Christmas. We baked some, decorated some, and even played Christmas music. We will skype our out of state family and unwrap gifts together. Merry Christmas!

Nothing says traditions like a holiday...and in our house Birthdays have always been treated like holidays! We hold firmly to the belief that if there is a day you are ever going to celebrate, it's the day you were born. Luckily for Fi, her birthday is October 8, which coincides with Columbus day this year, extending the Birthday to Birthday weekend. and nothing transforms like a butterfly...the metamorphosis is symbolic to so many cultures and religions. The butterfly offers an explanation of the life cycle, and in Christian faiths a symbol of resurrection. In Asian culture, butterflies symbolize long life and love. Native Americans see the butterfly as a symbol of color, change and joy. For them, wishes whispered to the butterfly rise to the heavens. To many people throughout the world, the butterfly symbolizes hope and change. Is it any wonder that I am always on the lookout for them? On our day trip to Ogunquit, I saw some beautiful gardens, lots of color, the ocean, and butterflies... spotted some butterflies... These butterflies were fluttering around in the beautiful gardens outside the Ogunquit Museum of American art. The sculpture garden, flowers and view were amazing. Art and Nature combined.. From here we walked the Marginal Way at Ogunquit, another of my favorite spots... Spectacula...

Every click of the television remote or blast from the radio brings more aggressive news of hateful words and actions.  The stress of the situation is exacerbated by the sad fact that I have no impact over the current environment.  All of the lessons of history seem to be lost.   I can only hope that at some point peace, respect and common sense prevail.  Amid all of this discord and hostility, Nish and I went in search of some tranquility. There is no place it is easier  to find than in nature, so we headed to Heritage Museum and Gardens in Sandwich. Majestic trees Beautiful Vista And then we moved through the labyrinth.
